Ceremony

We are able and willing to organise all types of ceremonies, from services for just the two of you, to a 100+ guests

Civil wedding

Spain has become one of the few countries where marriges for homosexual and heterosexsual are legally recognized. The requirements for civil weddings vary by Town Hall, some requiring one of the couple to be resident for the last two years showing it in the Certificado de Empadronamiento (Padron Certificate) but legal ceremonies for non residents are possible in some regions in Andalusia.

Roman Catholic Wedding

The couple must first contact their local diocese to discuss their marriage intentions and , in general, they require a:

– Birth certificate: Spanish translation is required
– Baptism certificate: This must be issued within the six month period prior to your wedding, and authenticated by the issuing Bishop. A Spanish translation must be attached
– Proof both parties are free to marry(Fe de solteria y Vida): translated in Spanish
– Dispensation from their Bishopric if one of the member party is not Catholic.

Formalities do, however, vary significantly from parish to parish and the requirements should be checked well in advance. From here, the necessary paperwork will be arranged from within the church itself.

Symbolic Wedding

A Symbolic Wedding consists of a blessing or a symbolic ceremony. You can celebrate such a wedding in a chapel or any other location. The only requirement for the couples who choose this type of ceremony have had a civil ceremony in their home country.

Protestant Wedding

Please be aware that only catholic and civil weddings are legally recognized in Spain so the couple must get married in the registry office of their own county and then come to Spain for the religious ceremony and the reception.

Can either be performed by a Pastor at your location of choice or in some of the Protestant churches

Jewish Wedding

Please be aware that only catholic and civil weddings are legally recognized in Spain so the couple must get married in the registry office of their own county and then come to Spain for the religious ceremony and the reception. The synagogues of Spain are very beautiful.

Gibraltar Weddings

Here you can be married within 24 hours of arrival without the residency requirements of other countries, so it is a simple procedure. Also a Gibraltar marriage is recognized world-wide.
